Giant Hepatic Subcapsular Hematoma after Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP): A Case Report

Introduction: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is one of the most commonly performed minimally invasive procedures for diagnosis and treatment biliary pancreatic diseases. Hepatic hematoma secondary to ERCP a rare potentially serious complication with few cases described in literature. Objective: The objective present case giant hepatic subcapsular (HSH) ERCP, surgically resolved by laparotomy due its recurrence significant growth. Case report: We 55-year-old female patient history laparoscopic cholecystectomy subsequent residual choledocholithiasis. presented intense abdominal pain fever after being discharged home, so she was admitted general surgery service where HSH diagnosed. Initially, conservative imaging follow-up indicated, however, growth recurrence, surgical indicated. Conclusion: Most patients respond treatment, however there will be who require suspecting this pathology help provide timely treatment.
